Programs

Lil' Dragons

Our Lil' Dragons program is designed for 4 and 5 year old children. This program focuses on motor skills (balance, coordination, basic martial arts skills), listening skills (focus and self-control), safety skills (stranger awareness, bully awareness and physical safety) and social skills (respect, courtesy, anger management). This class prepares the student to join our junior program. This class meets two times a week for 45 minutes each class.

Junior Program

Our Junior Program is designed for our 6-11 year old students. This program is based on the traditional martial art of Taekwondo. Students learn physical skills, mental skills, safety skills and social skills in a high paced, exciting class. This program takes the junior student from white belt all the way to black belt and beyond. This class meets two times a week for 45 minutes each class.

Teen Program

We realize that teens need a program designed just for them. They feel too old to be with the children, but most times do not want to be stuck with the adults either. In our teen program (12-17 years old) they can train with students their own age and size. This class not only teaches martial arts, but how to be a success in life.

Teens face many challenges such as peer pressure, bullying, schoolwork and trying to fit in. In our program teens learn to respect themselves and those they come in contact with. Our program is also excellent for fine tuning motor skills and turns our students into peak performers.

Adults

Our Adult program is a combination of strength training, flexibility training, cardiovascular training and stress reliever all rolled into a martial arts package. No matter what shape an adult is when they come to us, we promise that they will become healthier and happier by being involved in our program.

Family programs

As our name implies (Family Taekwondo) we have many families who train with us. It is like the old chopstick theory. If you have one chopstick, it is very easy to break in half, but if you have many chopsticks, it is very difficult to break. Our families feel that training as a team is like adding another chopstick to their bundle. It helps to strengthen their family bond.

It gives parents and teens an opportunity to communicate during an otherwise stressful stage of life. Children whose parents train at our school are more likely to train long term. And parents who train are sending a wonderful message to their children that what they are involved with is very important to the parent. Our Taekwondo students who are parents are also great role models for their children. They are showing by example what it means to have discipline, courage and a pursuit of excellence. Our parents also tell us that their training has a very positive effect on their parenting abilities.
